OPENING INTRODUCTIONS by Pam Mikula, President

TREASURER’S REPORT - Sal LoCicero reported the cash balance as of 07/31/05 was $26,117.17.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Holiday – A new artist has been commissioned to produce a dreidel and it should be completed within the month. Santa will arrive in town on Friday, November 25th with festivities at 6pm. We will have a dreidel unveiling ceremony on Friday, December 2nd at 7pm at State & Main Sts.

Membership – As of this meeting, we have raised $1120 from our borough fundraising letter and $1170 from our township fundraising letter for a total of $2290. Thank you to all who have contributed.

5K Race – The race was successful once again. Thank you to all who volunteered.

Merchants – DBCA members also serving on the First Friday planning committee reported the great success of their first event.

Publicity – Linda Brinker will be working on getting some great publicity coverage on our new dreidel.

Fall Arts Festival – Rich Slabinski reported that planning is going smoothly for this year’s festival on Sept. 17 & 18. Volunteers are still needed to help run the DBCA table at State & Main Sts on both days of the festival. If you can help, please contact Leslie Bilotta at 267-337-0132.

Visitors Guide – The first 10,000 copies have been distributed. An additional 5,000 have been ordered.

Flowering Baskets – The baskets are looking beautiful this year. Please join us on Sunday, October 2nd at 9am at Starbucks to help take them down. This is a big job that requires many volunteers. Please bring a ladder, cordless drill and a friend.

Town and Country Players – Thanks to Linda Plank and Ken Hackman, the DBCA made a nice profit.

OLD BUSINESS - The nominating committee has had their first meeting concerning next year’s board. They will meet again this month.

GUEST SPEAKER – Jane Pollini from Niva Productions presented the idea of creating a documentary on Doylestown. She presented clips from a similar documentary and wanted to get a better of idea of community interest.
