Bill Mount gave the Arts Festival report. Everything is moving
along smoothly. There are more crafters this year. Paula has been
working on the entertainment. Many volunteers are needed. Two volunteers
are needed each hour to take care of any needs the crafters may
have. The Fire Company will have a pancake breakfast at the firehouse,
on Shewell Avenue, Saturday morning. The Univest bike race is on
Sunday morning. It is a 50 mile race through the borough. There
are 170 racers. If both events work well it may become an annual
event. It should help the attendance for the Arts Festival. The
Not for Profit groups will pay for their spots this year. The Food
Court will be in the Hamilton Street parking lot. Scarecrow Junction
will just be on Sunday this year and will also be located in the
Hamilton Street Lot. DBCA gives a donation to NOVA for the clothing

said there is a controversy about how far in advance of an event
the meters are bagged. The committee would like to talk to the Borough
about the timing of street closure. Friday, August 27th the Y2C
is scheduled for State Street. The next Merchants Committee event
will be September 10, 2004: LET FREEDOM RING. Musicians will be
on State Street between Main and Hamilton Streets from 6PM to 10PM.
It should be a great night. The Merchants committee meets every

Country Players benefit. The proceeds to DBCA were $1,530.00. Don

supplying the refreshments.
The Hanging Baskets are just beautiful this year. Patty White and
her committee did an outstanding job. A date in October will be
announced to take the baskets down. This year we don't have to redo
the baskets as we have beautiful new holiday kissing balls with
lights to replace the baskets.

for two trees. One tree about 10 feet tall and the other about 15
feet tall. Barbara is working on the Driedl. Everything is moving

the meter boxes to see what work needs to be done on them. The date
