Minutes from the Monthly Meeting of the
Doylestown Business & Community Alliance

OPENING INTRODUCTIONS by Pam Mikula
APPROVAL OF MINUTES – With no objections,
minutes from the April meeting were approved.
TREASURER’S REPORT - Sal LoCicero reported
the cash balance as of 04/30/05 was $25,161.49.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Holiday – Ken Hackman is looking for a co-chair.
Leslie Bilotta volunteered.
Membership – Inserting our fundraising letter
in the borough newsletter has brought in many new members. Thank
you to John Davis, borough manager, for allowing us to do this.
We will also distribute our letter in the township newsletter which
goes to 7,000 residents. At this point, we have 112 business and
non-profit members for the map, more than we have had in previous
years.
5K Race - The race will be on May 28th with registration
at 8am, race at 10.
Merchants - Judy Dixon reported that First Fridays
in Doylestown is going to be run outside the DBCA by Chanin Walsh,
founder of the Bucks County Women's Business Forum. Several members
of the DBCA will join her.
Publicity – Nothing new to report at this
time.
Fall Arts Festival - Everything is running smoothly.
Visitors Guide - Rick Kempes is expected to receive
proofs today.
Flowering Baskets – The hanging of the baskets
will occur on Sunday, May 22nd at 9am in Starbucks Parking Lot.
OLD BUSINESS
We need food sponsors for our meetings. Please contact Pam Mikula
at 267-308-0148 if you can help.
NEW BUSINESS
Our annual cocktail party will be June 15th from 6-8pm at Third
Federal by the Courthouse. Thank you very much to Third Federal
for sponsoring this event and allowing it to be free to members.
The Doylestown Rotary Club will be dedicating a clock to the Hamilton
Street Parking Lot. A ceremony will take place on June 15th at 4:15pm.
Bucks County Country Club will be having a cancer benefit silent
auction on June 3rd from 7-11pm.
