Minutes from the Monthly Meeting of the
Doylestown Business & Community Alliance

OPENING INTRODUCTIONS by Pam Mikula
TREASURER’S REPORT - Sal LoCicero reported
income as of 12/31/04 for 2004 was $82,258.32 and expenses $65,301.40.
Cash balance was $16,956.92.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Holiday - We had a successful de-decorating event.
Bobby Newton and Rick Kempes are researching better storage accommodations.
Membership - Jack Mikula is working on membership
database updates. Membership renewal letters will be mailed before
the end of January. The deadline for membership that includes map
listing is March 1, 2005.
5K Race - Dan Raskin said planning is going well.
Merchants - Judy Dixon is looking into First Fridays
in Doylestown. She will update the DBCA on its continuing momentum.
Publicity – Have not met yet but will follow
up with the DBCA.
Fall Arts Festival - The Arts Festival will be
held on September 17 and 18 this year to coincide with the Univest
Grand Prix Bike Race and not conflict with any holidays.
Visitors Guide - Rick Kempes is looking into extending
geographical area for the map to include North Main Street up to
Cross Keys.
OLD BUSINESS
Justice Center - DBCA confirmed commissioners’ decision for
the location at the existing parking garage. The new parking facility
is still being studied and the DBCA holds its position that parking
should be as close to town as possible.
NEW BUSINESS
We are looking for a new trailer for storage in the Borough lot.
If anyone knows of anyone willing to discuss options, please follow
up. Also, Pam Mikula is looking for options for our breakfast food
and beverages. Leslie Bilotta will ask Roosevelt’s Blue Star
for donation.
GUEST SPEAKER - TWILIGHT WISH FOUNDATION, CASSIE
FORKIN
This is a local organization that grants wishes for seniors that
has received national recognition is a very short amount of time.
They are looking for volunteers and contributors. Anyone wishing
to participate should contact Cassie with your information for this

DOYLESTOWN HOSPITAL - Linda Plank and Christine
Nelson are extending invitations to the public to partake and support
the “GO RED” Heart Disease for Women at the Doylestown
Hospital. Please stop by and support on February 4, 2005
